COVID-19: Nigeria Records 1,633 New Cases As Tally Surpasses 120000

  • Total number of cases recorded – 120,602
  • Total number of cases discharged – 95,901
  • Total deaths recorded – 1,502

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has shown that Nigeria has recorded a total of 120,602 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated January 23, the NCDC reports 1,633 new infections and 12 deaths resulting from COVID-19 complications.

The new infections were recorded in 24 states — Lagos-498, Plateau-214, FCT-176, Rivers-99, Kaduna-9, Edo-87, Anambra-86, Akwa Ibom-50, Osun-47, Kano-40, Oyo-40, Kwara-39, Ebonyi-28, Niger-28, Taraba-28, Ogun-27, Ondo-21, Ekiti-12, Katsina-7, Borno-6 and Delta-2.
