Covid-19: Nigeria Records 41 New Cases, No Deaths As Infection Hits 165,702

  • Nigeria has recorded 41 new cases of coronavirus, no deaths as infection hits 165,702.

Confirmed cases of Covid-19 has increased to 165,702 as 41 new cases and no deaths were recorded in Nigeria on Saturday, 16th of May 2021.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Coronavirus, said 156,412 cases have been discharged and 2,066 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of the country.

According to NCDC, the new cases are reported from 7 states, with Lagos having the highest with 16 new cases.

In further report from NCDC,Yobe had 14, Rivers-3, FCT-3, Akwa Ibom-2, Bayelsa-2, Edo-1.

Meanwhile, a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
