The latest figures released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has revealed that Nigeria now has a total of 85,560 cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In its latest case update dated December 29, the NCDC reports 749 new infections and 3 deaths resulting from COVID-19 complications.
The new infections were recorded in 18 states — Lagos (299), Plateau (131), Kaduna (83), FCT (74), Kwara (35), Sokoto (26), Edo (18), Kano (17), Katsina (16), Delta (11), Nasarawa (10), Ondo (9), Bauchi (9), Rivers (5), Akwa Ibom (3), Jigawa (1), Osun (1) and Ekiti (1).
