A team of students in Nigeria have invented a solution to minimize the risk faced by health workers on the frontlines of attending to COVID-19 patients.
The impressive piece of technology, developed by students of Glisten International School is a function of cutting edge robotics which uses a robot to administer medicaments to COVID-19 patients in hospital wards, thereby minimizing the risk of exposure to health workers.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the robot, which is made up of compartments provides ample platform for the health workers to load well labelled drugs on the shelves, thereby leaving the process of delivery to the device which is controlled remotely by a navigator using an X-Box game controller and a Virtual Reality headset.

The robot uses artificial intelligence to move, while approaching a patient it can deliver drugs, check their temperature and provide an interface for doctors to interact with patients.
According to the brilliant minds who came together to produce this bleeding edge piece of technology, the plan is for the robot to go global and support healthcare workers around the world, reduce risk of exposure to frontline workers while maintaining the crucial doctor-patient relationship.
