[COVID-19] No Fatality As NCDC Announces 159 New Cases

  • Total cases confirmed – 209,546
  • Total cases discharged – 197,546
  • Total deaths recorded – 2,838

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 209,546 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated October 19, the NCDC reports 159 new cases with no COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in the FCT and 11 states – FCT (71), Lagos (20), Imo (17), Rivers (15), Cross River (9), Kano (7), Ondo (7), Plateau (4), Ekiti (3), Niger (3), Delta (2), and Bauchi (1)

According to the NCDC, 0 cases were recorded in Edo, Oyo, Ogun and Osun States.

It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 197,546 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,838.
