COVID-19: Ondo Denies Shutting Isolation Centre

Ondo State Government has refuted claims that it has closed its Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) where COVID-19 patients are treated.

The state government also denied it also sent the patients out due to the alleged closure of its isolation centre.

Although it was reported that some doctors at the IDH had stopped attending to COVID-19 patients over alleged insensitivity of the State government to their working conditions.

Reacting to the accusation, the Acting Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jibayo Adeyeye, noted that other doctors at IDH were available to attend to patients.

Adeyeye added that the conditions of the striking doctors and the cause of the strike have been brought to the commission’s attention and would be looked upon effectively.
