Osun state government have announced that it has discharged twenty-one patients from its isolation centre and have confirmed thirteen new COVID-19 cases.
The Osun State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu, revealed this in a statement on Monday evening in Osogbo.
The commissioner, also announced that the discovery of 13 new cases of coronavirus brings the total number of cases in the State to 178 with 87 active cases.

He advised residents of the State to always to observe all the precautionary measures and COVID-19 guidelines imposed on the State and country by the ministry of health against the spread of the virus.
“With the latest development, the number of active cases as at today, Monday, July 6, is 87. We have 178 confirmed cases, out of which the State has successfully treated and discharged 84 patients while seven deaths have been recorded,” Dr. Isamotu explained.
Till date, 29286 cases have been confirmed, 11828 cases have been discharged and 654 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, he added.
