COVID-19: Plateau Shuts Hospital, Quarantines 29 As Two Health Workers Test Positive
Another hospital in PLateau state, Langtang North General Hospital has been shut down after two fresh COVID-19 cases were confirmed at the facility.
Before the closure of Langtang general hospital, two others have been closed over similar cases which brings the total number of hospitals that have been closed to three.
The Chairman of the Lantang North Local Government Area, Ubandoma Laven, confirmed the report.

He reported that 29 health workers in the hospital are being quarantined for two weeks while their family members will be monitored
He started that those health workers who tested positive of the pandemic were laboratory scientists working with the general hospital in the council.
He said, “As a result of this, 29 health workers in the hospital are being quarantined for two weeks while their family members will be monitored.
I am appealing to the people of the local government to remain calm and heed to the safety rules already set by the World Health Organisation”
Laven alleged that there is no cause for panic as other workers in the hospital have been placed under close observation and are tested.
He adviced residents to observe all covid-19 protocols.
