COVID-19: Presidency Debunks Rumour Of Presidential Broadcast On Monday
Special Adviser on Media & Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Adesina, has debunked rumour making round that the president will address Nigerians on COVID-19 updates on Monday, May 18.
Adesina, who made this known on his verified Twitter account said that there was no intention by the president to address Nigerians on the updates.
He, however, stated that the Presidential Task Force will inform the nation on what to do next during their usual media briefing.

He said: “No presidential broadcast on COVID-19 updates today. None was planned. Rather, the Presidential Task Force will during its usual media briefings bring the nation up to speed on the next steps.”
There was speculation earlier that the president would address the nation with the aim of imposing a total lockdown on states that have recorded very high cases of coronavirus pandemic.
