Nigerians may finally be catching a break on the gradual spread of Coronavirus across the country as it was reported that no fewer than nine suspected cases in Kano state have tested negative.
This was made public by Kano state Commissioner for Health, Amina lbrahim Tsanyawa, during a press conference on Friday.
According to Amina lbrahim Tsanyawa, from the test conducted, Kano remains free of the dreaded disease, he reiterated the state government’s commitment in ensuring maximum protection of the general well being of Kano residents against the virus.
Speaking further, Tsanyawa explained that the Public Health and Diagnostic institute at Kwanar Dawaki will be utilised as isolation and treatment centres for any reported case.
He advised Kano residents not to take things for granted but rather adhere strictly to all directives.
The Commissioner also urged residents to contact the emergency response team on 09093995444 or 09093995333 for any suspected case of coronavirus.
