COVID-19 Surge Continues As Nigeria Records 636 New Infections, 11 Deaths

  • Total cases confirmed – 181,297
  • Total cases discharged – 166,709
  • Total deaths recorded – 2,211

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 180,661 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated August 13, the NCDC reports 636 new cases with 11 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 17 states – Lagos-291, Rivers-117, Taraba-58, Akwa Ibom-54, Kwara-28, Ekiti-14, Ogun-14, FCT-13, Oyo-11, Edo-9, Osun-6, Bayelsa-5, Delta-4, Gombe-4, Abia-3, Plateau-3 and Sokoto-1.

According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Nasarawa and Ondo States.

EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 166,709 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,211.
