COVID-19: The Hidden Message Behind The Death Of Portuguese Billionaire By Ibrahim Kegbegbe

The death of the Portuguese billionaire, Anthonio Piera, the President of the Santander Bank in Portugal and the comment written by his daughter on twitter, concerning his death caused by corona infection, has called for the world to look at COVID-19 from another point of view.

It is true that death is inevitable for everyone. Either you are rich or poor, death must visit you one day. But the poor are liable to die before their destined time if they don’t have access to good medical checkups; lack of nutritional food and serene environment for living. The rich within their capacity have what the poor lack, through which they could be rewarded with an extra life if possible! We all know that money can easily reverse inequality in living standards. It is the only death that money can’t reverse.
So, the situational comparison between the rich and the poor is not discrimination but rather a discrepancy.

However, the ironical situation within the human race has turned around to a dramatic irony as a result of the worldwide challenge. Do we want to say the poor and the rich are socially equal! If we can’t say so, I think someone will agree with me that we are naturally equal. The pandemic outbreak of the coronavirus which antidotes have not been discovered anywhere in the world is my evidence for my research. We had brought together clergy from the Wiccan, Christian, New Age and Islamic traditions for interfaith dialogue on diseases or any related ones, we were told that God would not create any diseases without remedies for them. Where are the antidotes for coronavirus, if I may ask?

So, it is only the highly philosophical and religious thinking-minds that could understand the global situation at the moment that it is beyond scientific research. Before I move further on this opinion, I would like to use the death of the formal Chief of Staff to President Muhammad Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari, as one of my points that COVID-19 has another hidden message to be studied by individuals. Do we want to say Kyari had no access to the sound medication before the Advent of coronavirus! Yes, we all know he lived a life of political, social and economic comfortability. One of the disadvantages of this pandemic is that no country allows other nationalities to come in. All borders and airports are closed. If not so, I had the belief that Abba Kyari won’t die of the disease.

Why is America leading in the death rate from COVID-19 now despite its citizens are technologically sagacious! The failure of technology is another point that needs to be looked at. Why failure!

In the early stage when the death rate from the pandemic COVID-19 was too high in Italy, the Italian Minister said something godly while addressing the whole world: “We have lost control, we have killed the epidemic physically and mentally. Can’t understand what more we can do, all solutions are exhausted on the ground. Our only hope remains up in the Sky, God rescues your people.”

Moreover, the statement from the Italian Minister has reminded me of the statement made by the daughter of the Portuguese billionaire, Anthonio Piera: “We are a wealthy family, but my father passed away alone, suffocating, looking for something free, which is air… The money stayed at home.”

So, I think God has used the pandemic to disseminate different information to the whole world. To some, the message has come to them to believe in the oneness of God while it teaches some that social amenities have to be built for their citizens for sovereign independence. But my personal opinion is that the pandemic has come to teach the whole world that we are all equal at the sight of God.
