It was the burial ceremony of our dear mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Alhaja Morufat Agunbiade.
Ekohotblog understands that Alhaja Morufat Agunbiade breathed her last at the age of 88 and had since been buried according to Muslim rites.
Alhaja Morufat was finally laid to rest after family members, well-wishers, and top government officials gathered to pay their respect to the late champion during her funeral ceremony on Saturday.
Representating the children of the deceased, Ola Agunbiade described Alhaja Morifat Agunbiade as the pillar and the prayer warrior of the family who would be greatly missed.
According to Otunba Bode Kashif Oyedele, he described late Alhaja Morifat Agunbiade as a champion for the less privileged whose years of existence were dedicated to advance the cause of humanity.
He also noted that the late Mrs. Agunbiade, a devoted Muslim lived an exemplary life, dedicated to upholding and propagating the tenets of Islam, and her love and commitment for her community, could not be quantified.
Present at the ceremony were Eko Club International, Epe Professional Women Association, (EPWA), Ambsam Memorial Foundation, Former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji amid other top government officials.
