Cross River State Politician Escapes Snake Attack After Assassination Attempt

Cross River State politician, Usani Usani was revealed to have escaped a snake attack in his home a few days after an assassination attempt on him that claimed lives.

According to his spokesman, David Agabi, the former Minister was only taking a walk in his home in the Mkpani community when he came across the large snake.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that days after surviving an assassination attempt, the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) candidate for the Cross River state governorship, Usani Usani, has narrowly escaped a snake attack.
The incident occurred outside the politician’s home in the Mkpani community in Yakurr Local Government Area.
According to David Agabi, Usani’s media aide, the former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs was taking a walk around his home in the community when he nearly stepped on a large snake. The snake was killed by those nearby.

In a statement, Agabi expressed concern about the recent events in Usani’s life, questioning, “What’s happening in Usani Uguru Usani’s life? After a failed assassination attempt, now is a snake?”
Last week, Usani was on his way to his hometown when he reportedly escaped an assassination attempt on the Calabar-Ikom federal highway. Two others were killed in the deadly encounter.
This latest close call is a reminder of the dangers faced by political figures, particularly in the lead up to the elections.
