EKO HOT BLOG reports that a three-man gang of cultists has been arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly gang-r*ping a 15-year-old girl during a forced initiation into a cult.
It was gathered that the three members of the Eiye Confraternity forcefully initiated her into their group after r*ping her.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspects, Daniel Njoku, aka Agege; Damilare Ogundiran, and Adebayo Olamilekan, were arrested last Thursday.
Oyeyemi said their arrest followed a report lodged at the Ajuwon divisional headquarters by the victim’s mother.
According to Oyeyemi, the woman reported that she sent her daughter on an errand at the Akute-Odo area, but she was waylaid by Njoku, who forcefully took her to his gang at their hideout, where the girl was gang-r*ped, beaten and forcefully initiated.
He said, “The complainant further explained that her daughter was threatened by the suspects that she would be killed if she dared to inform anybody about the incident.
“Upon the report, the DPO Ajuwon division, SP Andrew Akinseye, detailed his detectives to go after the hoodlums.
“The team, acting on credible intelligence, located the hideout of the group at the Akute-Odo area, stormed the place and succeeded in arresting three members of the gang.
