NiDCOM Chairman, Abike Dabiri-Erewa greeting Emir Ado Bayero and President-elect Bola Tinubu
Eko Hot Blog reports that mixed reactions have trailed photos of the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, kneeing while greeting Nigeria’s President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Emir of Kano, HRM Emir Aminu Ado Bayero in Abuja on Thursday.
The government official shared the photos via her Twitter handle late Thursday night.
She shared the pictures amid the struggle of Nigerians in Sudan to leave the war-troubled country.
“With President elect @officialABAT and HRM Emir Ado Bayero at the residence of our incoming President in Abuja today,” Dabiri-Erewa wrote on Twitter.

While some commended her for the show of respect and tipped her for the position of foreign minister in the next administration, others criticised her allegedly abandoning her job.
However, before posting the photos, Dabiri-Erewa had announced that the issue of Nigerians stranded in Sudan had been resolved.
“I have just spoken to the @nemanigeria . They have started moving and the issues between Nema and the transport company have [sic] been resolved,” she tweeted in response to a post claiming that evacuation buses from Sudan stopped in the middle of the desert because of non-payment.
