This online media platform amidst the arrival of the President and other notable guests at the venue, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President-elect, who recently returned from a visit to France over the weekend, was conspicuously absent from the event.
During his welcome address on Monday, Dangote expressed his optimism regarding the transformative impact of the Oil Refinery on Nigeria’s local demands. He emphasized that the facility is committed to meeting the nation’s petroleum needs and anticipates that its initial product will be available in the market by the conclusion of July or August 2023.
In his speech, the President of Dangote Industries Limited extended his gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for his unwavering support and for serving as a source of inspiration during moments of doubt. Additionally, he conveyed his appreciation to the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, for ensuring timely availability of the necessary funds for the project.
The inauguration ceremony, led by President Muhammadu Buhari, signifies the official unveiling of the 650,000 barrels per day (BPD) Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals.
