Dapo Abiodun Revisits Controversial Appointment & Promotion Of Monarchs

The Governor of Ogun State Dapo Abiodun, has said that his administration had investigated the circumstances surrounding the alleged controversial appointments and promotion of monarchs by the previous administration.
The Governor noted that his administration would soon release his position on the matter adding that, the committee set up to investigate the issue had already submitted it report.
Abiodun made this known at the meeting of Ogun Council of Obas, held at the Obas’ Complex, Oke-Mosan in Abeokuta.
He said “I want to assure you that very soon, our decisions will be made public and it will be predicated on justice, fairness and equity.”
Abiodun stressed the vital role of the monarchs in contributing to good governance, adding that, his administration would continue to accord them necessary respect and support.
The Governor urged the monarchs to rally round his administration to ensure that the people get the dividends of good governance. Adding that, the traditional rulers should support his administration’s vision of building low cost houses by providing lands in their respective domains.
The Chairman of the Council of Obaseki, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, stressed that no government could underestimated the role of monarchs democratic dispensation. Adding that, the traditional rulers would continue to support the administration of Governor Abiodun.
