Ryan Searle has become the fifth player to top their PDC Home Tour group with a perfect record as he surged into the next round as James Wade endured a night to forget.
The world number 42 brushed Andy Boulton aside 5-1 in his opener before averaging 100 in a 5-3 victory over favourite James Wade, in which he also fired in five maximums.
Searle, 32, turned on the style again in his third match as he averaged 103 during a 5-2 triumph over Adrian Gray.
Wade, who opened the night by beating Adrian Gray 5-2, was then thumped 5-0 by Boulton to finish third in the group.
