Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido for married to his heartthrob, Chioma, a few days ago in Lagos.
The marriage was graced by the creme de la creme in the society, including his uncle the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke who shared the dance floor with the couple.
Despite ban on public spray of Naira notes, the occasion featured friends and well-wishers spraying money on the celebrities duo.
A few musicians also came in stage to render their popular love songs, one of them was Olamide whose entrance to the place energised the groom.
While the social function was in top gear, Davido spoke, relating the event to the dream of his father for him.
Many had thought he wanted to speak about his father’s counsel on his marriage with Chioma but the Grammy Nominee dazed the audience with his father’s thought for him.
He said, “My father once called me and said he had a vision for me. I asked him to tell me. My father said that he sees me ending my career as a gospel singer.”
Of course his statement threw the socialites at the gathering into deep laughter, Davido himself did not write off the possibility as his wife gave a smile to give her nod to the gospel idea.
Recall, Davido once said the only man he will always take after his advise is his father, even if his instruction is difficult to follow.
Is it possible, can Davido sing Gospel?
