EKO HOT BLOG reports that a Deeper Life Church in Badagry, Lagos state collapsed during a heavy storm on Sunday in the middle of a sermon, and six of the worshippers were injured.
The Press gathered that the building collapsed around 9:30 a.m, during a massive storm that came after the rain.
Mr Topohozin Tunde, a member of the Church who was also a victim, told reporters that six members of the church were seriously injured.
“I too had a major knee injury, but thank God, no one was killed.”
“At around 9:30 a.m. this morning, during the church service, a huge storm slammed the church building, and before we knew what was going on, the entire church building fell.”
“Some were able to flee, but roughly six of us were seriously injured,” he said.
Tunde said medical attention was given to them, but they were not given proper treatment because no medical doctor was available at the hospital.
“Those that were seriously injured were taken to the General Hospital in Badagry for proper attention.
“Since my injury is not much, I decided to take care of myself,” he said.

Also speaking, Chief Thoma Agodi, the Baale of the Iragbo community, claimed he was inside his palace when a local came to alert him that the church building had collapsed.
“We must thank God that no one was killed as a result of the fall,” he stated.
