EKO HOT BLOG reports on Sir Alex Ferguson’s reaction in the fixture between Manchester United and Crystal Palace that has many Man United faithful convinced the Red Devils legend was taking pleasure in seeing arch-rivals, Liverpool losing to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
During the victory against Crystal Palace, Sir Alex Ferguson and James Nesbitt were pictured having a humorous moment after the former Man United manager was seen going through his phone.
Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace during the Premier League on Saturday was a nail-biter, but it seems the final minutes of the game left Sir Alex Ferguson and actor James Nesbitt in high spirits.

The two were caught on camera sharing a laugh from the Old Trafford directors’ box and fans were quick to come up with their theories as to why.
With just 91 minutes played, cameras panned over to the relaxed former manager and the Manchester United fan who was sitting alongside him. Sir Alex was seen smiling after checking his phone and he then shared what was on it with Nesbitt before the two chuckled.
Fans took to social media to speculate the reason for the two’s merriment, with one saying, “Sir Alex Ferguson laughing at Liverpool… they’re done for.” Another commented, “Sir Alex Ferguson smiling in the stands after seeing Liverpool losing on his phone.”
The match, which saw goals from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford, was dominated by Manchester United, who played the final 20 minutes with a man down following Casemiro’s sending-off. Despite this, Sir Alex and Nesbitt remained calm, cool and collected while the Palace piled on the pressure.
Erik ten Hag, the Manchester United manager, was elated with the team’s performance.
He said in quote:
“I love many things… the quality of the game, the possession, the formations, the passing security, the defensive transitions and the counter press were all brilliant. I think we dominated the game and deserved the lead.”
