Eko Hot Blog reports that, in a poignant gathering marked by heartfelt remembrance and solemn prayers, dignitaries, monarchs, and well-wishers came together to honour the memory of Hijah Ruqayyah Sijuwade Anomo, beloved wife of Hon. Wale Raji Anomo, Chairman of Ikosi Ejinrin Local Community Development Area (LCDA).
The funeral prayer (Fidau), which held on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Bisi Rodipe hall GRA Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, served as a fitting tribute to Mrs. Anomo, as attendees paid homage to her remarkable life and legacy.
Hon. Anomo, visibly moved by the overwhelming support, took a moment to reflect on the profound impact his late wife had on his life and the lives of those around her.
Despite facing health challenges, Mrs. Anomo’s unwavering support, infectious smile, and words of encouragement remained a source of strength and inspiration for her family and friends.
Hon. Anomo fondly described his wife as a paragon of virtue, highlighting her roles as a devoted spouse, loving mother, caring sister, loyal friend, and dedicated wife.
Hon. Sketel, Honorable Monsuru Akinloyè, Hon. Wale Raji, Olori Mojisola Fatimoh Balogun, other dignitaries, esteemed colleagues, and close associates of the Anomo family, joined the Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA boss in commemorating Mrs. Anomo’s life and legacy.
The representatives of the Alara of Ilara, HRM Oba Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, Elejinrin of Ejinrin, Oba Rafiu Ishoola Babatunde Balogun, and the Alayandelu of Odo-Ayandelu Kingdom, Aderibigbe Ganiyu Asunmo Balogun, were also present.
They spoke passionately about the deceased’s tireless efforts to ensure her husband’s happiness and well-being, emphasizing her unwavering support and boundless love.
They lauded Mrs. Anomo as a calm and easy-going woman, always ready to tackle challenges with grace and resilience, and praised her unwavering commitment to finding solutions to problems.
As the funeral prayer drew to a close, dignitaries and monarchs bowed their heads in solemn reverence, offering prayers for the eternal repose of Mrs. Anomo’s soul.
Their collective voices rose in unison, beseeching the Almighty to grant Mrs. Anomo eternal peace and comfort in the hereafter.
In their prayers, they acknowledged Mrs. Anomo’s enduring legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness, which will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The ceremony concluded with a sense of somber reflection and quiet contemplation, as attendees found solace in the cherished memories and enduring love left behind by Hijah Ruqayyah Sijuwade Anomo.
Though her physical presence may be gone, her spirit lives on in the hearts and minds of all who were touched by her kindness, grace, and unwavering devotion.
