The Alara of Ilara Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Olufolarin Ogunsanwo, has admonished revenue officers in Eredo Local Council Development Area to be resourceful and diligent in the course of their duty.
The monarch gave the Admonition while speaking at a two days year 2021 ” Budget of Consolidation ” retreat held between February 2nd and 3rd 2021.
At the retreat which was organised by the LCDA Chairman, honourable Saliu Adeniyi, and took place at La Casa Hotels, Poka, Epe, the former Lagos internal revenue service boss urged the staff to go about their duty and obligations with dedication and unflinching commitment geared towards increasing the revenue of the LCDA.
Ekohotblog also gathered that Hon. Adeniyi Saliu gave awards to Management and Members of Staff of the LCDA for their astonishing professional conducts, noting that not even politics will shift their focus.
He also assured that the focus of the 2021 budget was strategically initiated to reinforce and nurture accomplishments of his Sterling administration through projects and programmes which will have multiplier effects on his people.
Among other things, participants at the retreat, it was gathered, had vigorous deliberations on revenue database which is vital for exceeding revenue drive.
Notable at the retreat was a paper delivered by a revenue consultant from the Lagos State Public Service, Mr Badejo, who admonished participants on the dire need to raise the bar on work ethics, financial control, equity and inclusiveness as regard distribution of public social amenities across the LCDA.
In addition, the Council-Manager, Mrs Toyin Senaike heaped praises on the Executive Chairman of the LCDA for his vision, dexterity and programs execution purposely meant for improving the lives of the people, while also appreciating the workforce for their immeasurable support.
