Ekohotblog reports that Nigerian singer and saxophonist, Seun Kuti has advised parents not to force their children to be like them but rather emulate them. 

The Egypt 80 band leader argued that children are pure at heart while describing them as true saints.

He therefore urged parents not to compel their children to conform to their ways because they are damaged.

The Big bird took to his instagram page to express this strange view while sharing a picture with his daughter.

“We must stop betraying the true saints, the pure of heart, our children! Be more like them and don’t make them like you, you are damaged! #getthesax.”

Interestingly, his view has generated different comments from fellow celebrities who mostly agreed that Seun’s comment has a deeper meaning.

Seun Kuti is the youngest son of Afrobeats legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
