Don’t Sideline Osinbajo, Lagos Chiefs Warn Buhari

Association of honorary chiefs and prominent members of the Lagos community have issued a warning to President Muhammadu Buhari over the alleged sidelining of his Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.

According to a statement signed by its Secretary-General, Engineer Olawumi Gasper, said that the president should ensure that the creation of the Economic Advisory Council does not clash with the council of which Osinbajo is Chairman.

“The creation of the new Economic Body, Economic Advisory Council (New Body) by His Excellency, the President does not appear to clash with or in any manner disturb the workings of the Council of which Osinbajo is the Chairman.”

The association warned that President Muhammadu Buhari should graciously ensure that any future creation or appointment did not in any way give the impression that his deputy was being sidelined.

Speculations have been going round that there is a rift between the Office of the President and the Vice President though the rumour has been dispelled by both offices.
