The Divisional Police Officer Sabon Tasha, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Olu has advised communities under his division to be united to end crimes in their areas.
He gave the advice on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, when he held a town hall meeting with residents of the Tsaunin Kura GRA Residents Association (Sabo GRA).
According to him, when he was the DPO of Kakuri, incidents of kidnapping reduced around Kudenda because the residents of the area came together.
“I urge you to corporate within yourselves and be united to stop criminals from entering your community.

“Another community that unity has worked for is Gonin Gora area, where members of the community mobilized their Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and that has beefed up security in their areas,” he said.
Speaking further, CSP Olu said that communities that are united and have operational CJTF makes job of policing easier, as they provide necessary intelligence the police acts on.
Earlier in his remarks, the Vice President General of the Sabo GRA, Mr. Onoja Attah said that the DPO was in the community to visit and hear the challenges of residents.
