President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Dr. Salisu Mu’azu Babura as the new Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Rasheed Shekoni Federal University Dutse Teaching Hospital.
The Federal Ministry of Health confirmed the appointment, effective October 31, 2024.
Dr. Mu’azu previously served as the Permanent Secretary at the State Ministry of Health. Currently, he is attending the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies in Kuru, Jos.
The Minister of Health, representing the federal government, extended well wishes to Dr. Mu’azu, expressing hopes for a successful tenure.
In related developments, the Federal Government has approved the establishment of a new teaching hospital in Akure, Ondo State, intended to enhance medical training at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA).
