The CEO and Medical Director of the organization, Dr Toyin Ajala explained that the GERI-Care Health Scheme is “designed to improve the quality of life and life expectancy of Nigerian’s elderly population, thus offering patient and affordable options for Families to support their long term healthcare.”

Ajala added that the GERI-Care Health Scheme offers a range of affordable packages for individuals aged 50 and above.

Emphasizing the goal of making healthcare accessible and affordable for the elderly, the scheme provides tailored healthcare services in four different categories: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum plans.

Each plan has its own limits to the services offered, with the Platinum plan being the only one that provides full access to all premium services, including home-care services.

Dr Toyin called on all stakeholders to partner with JBS Gerontology Center on the Geri-Care Health Scheme to make the scheme much more accessible.

In his speech, Dr Alausa challenged Dr Ajala to be the trailblazer in the realm of geriatric care beyond Lagos and across Nigeria, while proposing an ambassadorial partnership with the Lagos State Government with solid support of the Geri-Care Scheme by the Federal Government in a bid to further mainstream gerontology services across the country.
