Drama As Ohanaeze Factional Secretary Urges Igbos To Renounce Obi, Support Tinubu

  • The factional Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo urged Igbo leaders to back Tinubu over Obi.

  • Isiguzoro emphasized the need for Southeast governors’ open support for Tinubu.

  • He asserted that those supporting Obi would fail, and Tinubu was ‘unseatable’.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a surprising turn of events, a factional Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has urged the Igbo community to renounce their support for Peter Obi and instead back President Bola Tinubu.

Okechukwu Isiguzoro made this call on Wednesday, stating that Igbo leaders who are pushing for Obi’s candidacy will ultimately fail in their efforts.

Isiguzoro emphasized that for Tinubu to pay attention to the cries and concerns of the Southeast, it is imperative that the governors from the region and Igbo leaders rally behind him, regardless of their party affiliations.

He charged them to withdraw their support from Obi and extend it to Tinubu.

Speaking with DAILY POST, Isiguzoro said: “The Southeast governors should openly declare their support and work with Tinubu, irrespective of party affiliation.

“Those of them supporting Peter Obi should renounce it and openly declare for Tinubu because what we have seen is that the ruling party has two states, APGA has one state, and the Labour Party and PDP have one state each in the Southeast.

“So, at this point, they should declare their open support for Tinubu. These are the things that would make Tinubu listen to the pleas of the Southeast.

“Those Ohanaeze and Igbo elders hiding under Peter Obi and pushing him to unseat Tinubu will never succeed; no power on earth can unseat Tinubu. We will ensure that all those unrepentant elders are made to support and work with Tinubu.”
