Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s motorcade faced obstruction on Saturday by protesters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. According to Channels Television, the demonstrators demanded the governor step down and address them directly.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that today marks the third day of nationwide protests in Nigeria over the rising cost of commodities and hunger under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

During the protest in Port Harcourt today, the crowd of protesters brandishing green branches and expressing their fervour, filled the streets while demanding an end to poor governance.

The protests in Port Harcourt have persisted for three consecutive days as part of the #EndBadGovernance movement, which began on August 1, 2024. Participants gathered at Pleasure Park, holding placards and vowing to continue until their voices were heard.

Simultaneously, similar protests are occurring in Ojota, Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja, and other regions across the country.
