Drug Trafficking: South African Returnee Jailed For 38 Years

A Federal High Court in Lagos yesterday sentenced a South Africa returnee , Raji Adio , to 38 years for drug trafficking.
Justice Chuka Obiozor convicted Adio , 43, after nearly two years of trial.
Prof. Obiozor found Adio guilty of conspiracy and unlawful possession of 5 .10 kilogrammes of heroin.
He sentenced Adio to 15 years on counts one and three, and eight years on count two.
The sentences will run concurrently, with effect from September 3 , 2017 .
However, the convict was given an option of N1 . 5 million fine on counts one and three, but no option on count two.
