EKO HOT BLOG reports that the impact of the crash led to the driver’s death at the scene, while three passengers, two men and a woman, were injured. Preliminary investigations revealed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Taofiq said, “The accident, involving a Toyota Sienna (KTU 666 JP) at Conoil, inward Secretariat, led to the driver’s untimely demise, while three other occupants sustained severe injuries. The deceased driver was driving at high speed and appeared to be intoxicated.”
LASTMA operatives, who were the first to respond, recovered a mobile phone, N48,200 in cash, and 15 sachets of alcoholic gin from the vehicle. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officers took the driver’s body to a morgue in Yaba.
“The swift response by LASTMA operatives helped avert further traffic disruptions as they towed the vehicle to the agency’s yard,” Taofiq added.
