DSS Welcomes Adeola Ajayi As New Director General
The Department of State Services (DSS) has expressed its support for President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Adeola Ajayi as the new Director General of the agency.
In a statement released in Abuja by the DSS Spokesperson, Peter Afunaya, the agency extended its best wishes to the outgoing DG, Alhaji Yusuf Magaji Bichi, for his future endeavors, while pledging full cooperation and loyalty to the incoming DG, Mr. Ajayi.

According to the statement, “Mr. Ajayi is a thoroughbred and versatile intelligence officer who joined the Service in 1990 as a cadet officer. He has undergone extensive training in various fields, including management, security leadership, critical thinking, and human resources, both domestically and internationally.”
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Ajayi has also held several command positions, including State Director of Security (SDS) in Rivers, Bayelsa, Bauchi, Enugu, and Kogi States. The DSS described him as “diligent, resilient, urbane, proactive, and analytical,” and noted that he brings a wealth of experience, capacity, and goodwill to his new role.
