The team was defeated 88-74 by the United States in the quarter-final at the Bercy Arena in Paris on Wednesday.

The fairy tale run of the Rena Wakama-led ladies came to a halt beneath the heels of the formidable Americans.
D’Tigress began the tournament with a historic victory, defeating Australia in their opening match and recording their first Olympic win in 20 years.
This momentum carried them to a landmark achievement, qualifying for their first-ever appearance in the last eight of the Olympic basketball tournament after a 79-70 triumph over Canada in their final group game.
In the quarter-final clash against the United States, D’Tigress initially kept pace, ending the first quarter with a score of 26-17.
However, the Americans extended their lead to 52-33 by halftime. Despite Nigeria’s persistent efforts, they couldn’t match the US team’s prowess, ultimately falling to a 14-point defeat.
