Eko Hot Blog reports that royalties, politicians, and other eminent personalities have called on DukeTV, an online television station based in Ikeja, Lagos State, to embrace truth in its reporting.
They made the call on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the official unveiling of DukeTV.

Attendees, representing a cross-section of society’s pillars, converged at the venue of the TV station launch to impart invaluable advice and extend felicitations to the CEO, Hon. Olabode Garbadeen, on the station’s public unveiling.
The event was graced by dignitaries such as the esteemed Onikogbo of Ikogbo Kingdom, Oba Eng. Nurudeen Osoja, and Hon. Abiodun Tobun, alongside representatives of the Alara of Ilara, Oba Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo.
In his address, the Onikogbo of Ikogbo Kingdom underscored the pivotal role the media plays in shaping societal perceptions and urged DukeTV to serve as a bastion of journalistic integrity.
Oba Osoja also emphasized the need for transparent and unbiased reporting in an era marked by information overload.
Similarly, Hon. Abiodun Tobun, in his remarks, commended the foresight and dedication of DukeTV CEO in realizing the vision of the broadcast outfit.
He lauded the station’s commitment to providing a platform for objective discourse and pledged continued support in its endeavours.
Likewise, a representative for the Alara of Ilara echoed the sentiments of earlier speakers, expressing confidence in DukeTV’s potential to become a beacon of truth in the media landscape.
Other speakers at the TV station launch urged the station to remain steadfast in its pursuit of journalistic excellence and to prioritize accuracy and fairness in its reporting.
As the curtains drew to a close on the grand unveiling ceremony, the resounding message was clear: DukeTV embarks on its journey with a solemn commitment to uphold the principles of truth and integrity, buoyed by the unwavering support and guidance of its esteemed attendees.
