EKO HOT BLOG reports that a Dunamis Church Pastor reportedly died in a tragic building collapse on Tuesday morning in Benue State.
The Church situated in Mission Ward North Bank, Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, went down in the early hours of Tuesday.
Channels Television quoted a source as saying that four individuals, including the pastor, were engaged in prayers within the church building prior to the occurrence of the incident.
The other three individuals managed to escape the wreckage while the pastor was taken by death.
The collapse of the church building has also caused damage to nearby residential buildings and electricity infrastructure. The exact cause of the incident remains unclear at this time, Naija News reports.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Benue State Police Command, Anene Sewuese Catherine, reportedly told journalists that she was not aware of the incident.
Reports, however, revealed that police operatives from the C Division, North Bank, have already arrived at the scene, and emergency officials are en route to the collapsed building.
