Eko Hot Blog reports that the Chairman of Epe Local Government, Princess Surah Animashaun, has called on Christians in the area to embrace Jesus Christ’s lessons of self-sacrifice, brotherly love, selflessness, tolerance, obedience, respect for constituted authorities, honesty, justice and fairness.
She made the charge in her Easter message to Christians in Epe LGA.
According to Animashaun, embracing these lessons will help ensure a more peaceful, secure, united, progressive and prosperous Epe LGA that everyone will be proud of.
“In solidarity and felicity, I join our Christian faithful in Epe LGA and all over the world in giving thanks to God Almighty whose grace and benevolence have kept us alive through the Lent period to be partakers of this Easter celebration,” the message reads.
“On this Easter, let us think about the unconditional love that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, had for us to the extent that He gave His life for our redemption.
“It is my hope and prayer that as we celebrate the glorious resurrection of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, we should make his lessons of self-sacrifice, brotherly love, selflessness, tolerance, obedience, respect for constituted authorities, honesty, justice and fairness, to be deeply rooted in our beloved local government and help us to build more peaceful, secure, united, progressive and prosperous Epe LGA that will be the cynosure of all eyes.”
The Epe LG chairman further urged her constituents to continue to support and pray for the area’s continuous peace, harmony, progress and prosperity.
“I shall continue to count on your support and prayers for continuous peace, harmony, progress and prosperity in our local government area,” Animashaun pleaded.
“May peace, love, joy and the abundance of Grace that Easter brings fill our homes. Amen. Happy Easter Celebration.”
