Ebonyi Gov, Francis Nwifuru Approves N70,000 Minimum Wage Starting September

Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has announced an increase in the minimum wage for civil servants in the state to N70,000.

The new wage will take effect starting in September.

Governor Nwifuru made the announcement on Saturday during the grand finale of the Ojiji Izhi New Yam Festival 2024.

EKO HOT BLOG  gathered that the governor also expressed dissatisfaction with the handling of government projects, particularly criticizing the management of housing estates in the Izo Autonomous Community, Ishielu Local Government Area. He has directed the Commissioner for Housing to ensure that the houses are painted immediately.
