Ebonyi State Governor Awaits COVID-19 Test Result

The Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi, awaits coronavirus test result as he told Newsmen that he has sent his sample to the National Centre for Disease Control(NCDC).

The governor stated this in Abakaliki on Thursday during the swearing-in of some newly appointed government officials.

He said that he is prompted to go for the test after some government officials in his state tested positive for the Coronavirus.

He explained that he expects the result to be out on Friday.

Governor Umahi said if it eventually turns out positive, he would hand over duties to his Deputy, Kelechi Igwe pending the period he will be undergoing treatment.
