Edo 2020: ‘An Outlandish Report’ – Says APC On Deputy Gov. Submission Of Fake Credentials To INEC
Edo State All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as false and malicious reports on social media that its deputy governorship candidate, Abudu Ganiyu Audu, submitted false educational qualifications to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a statement by the Chairman of the party’s legal team, Dr. Ehiogie West-Idahosa, on Tuesday, the party insisted that the documents submitted to the electoral body by its deputy governor are genuine and authentic.
In a statement titled:” Abudu Ganiyu Audu did not give false information to INEC,” he said Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s running mate never gave false information to aid his qualification for the September 19 poll.

West-Idahosa said: “The name description of Abudu Ganiyu Audu contained in his educational qualification submitted to INEC for the election correctly belongs to him and in some cases are abbreviations or synonyms of his name.”
He added :”The abbreviations and synonyms have been validly reconciled with his name vide the appropriate instrument duly issued by the relevant court as prescribed by the Supreme Court in Appeal No SC/1/2020, PDP vs Eremieyo & 3 others.
“Those who have been busy peddling these false stories should turn their attention to the PDP governorship and deputy governorship candidates who have pending suits FHC/B/CS/74/2020 and FHC/B/CS/75/2020 challenging their qualification to contest the governorship election for presenting glaringly forged documents to INEC in aid of their qualification to contest the election.”
