Edo 2020: PDP Shifts Gubernatorial Primary Date Over Obaseki

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday announced that it had postponed its governorship primary in Edo.

The party’s national publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan, made the announcement in a tweet.

The development is believed to be the outcome of the meeting held by the party’s hierarchy over the political situation in Edo.

The primary was initially billed for Monday, June 22, but it has been postponed to Tuesday, June 23.

Though the reason for the postponement is not given, it was gathered it has to do with the imminent defection of Governor Godwin Obaseki any moment from now.
