Edo APC: Former Guber Aspirant Switches Party Allegiance

  • Victoria Amu, a former APC governorship aspirant in Edo State, has resigned from the party.
  • She expressed gratitude for opportunities to serve under Adams Oshiomole and Godwin Obaseki.

Eko Hot Blog reports that Victoria Amu, a former aspirant for the governorship under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, has parted ways with the ruling party.

Amu declared her resignation in a letter directed to the chairman of the APC in Ward 4, Owan West local government area of Edo State.

The former governorship aspirant, who had also vied for the House of Assembly seat in 2022, stated family and personal reasons as the grounds for her resignation from the APC.

Amu expressed appreciation to the APC for considering her suitable to serve under the leadership of former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomole, and the current Governor, Godwin Obaseki.

She said, “Worthy to have been given the opportunity to serve as SSA on Social Mobilization for 7 years under Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and SSA to Governor Godwin Obaseki for one year.

“It is on record, that I ran for the House of Assembly in 2022 and also in the just concluded Governorship race in 2024 all under the APC.

Meanwhile, Amu, who has not yet revealed her next political step, urged her friends, supporters, and well-wishers to honor her decision to step down from the APC.
