During the service, a DSS operative prevented Shaibu from meeting with Obaseki, while the governor, who sat with his wife, looked on as the drama happened.

Reacting to the incident on Monday, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Andrew Okungbowa, said Obaseki was not aware that Shaibu was denied access to see him.

Okungbowa added that the governor was not aware of what the security aides were doing, stating that they were j doing their job.

He said: “Whatever happened at the church service was not at the behest of the governor, nor was he aware of what the security aides were doing.
