The council of traditional rulers in Edo state has declared January 2 as a day of fasting and praying to seek divine intervention into the faceoff between the Governor of the state, Godwin Obaseki and the National Chairman of the All Progressive Party APC, Adams Oshiomhole.
It could be recalled that both Obaseki and Oshiomhole has been embroiled in protracted crisis which has polarised the party in the state.
The Spokesperson of the Otaru of Auchi, Alh. Usman Abudah, disclosed this development in a press statement issued on Monday in Benin.

While saying that the fasting would hold on Jan. 2, 2020, he enjoined the entire kingdom to also support the efforts of the royal fathers, “as prayers are never too much and nobody knows whose prayers the Almighty will accept.”
