The young girl, who was identified as Precious Iwuji, was arrested in the Sabo Area of Kaduna State and she will be charged to court along with other arrested fraudsters.
Precious only crime was selling her Facebook account to fraudsters, this might look unfair but according to the EFCC, she’s an accomplice in the crime.
Precious may or may not be aware of the motive of her buyers but the arrest of precious is a stern warning to all social media users who engage in account trading.
With this new development, one does not have to directly be involved in a crime to be arrested by the law. Just as a man who sells guns to thieves would be apprehended along with thieves, anyone who sells his or her social media account to fraudsters is indirectly a fraudster and would be arrested by the law.
