EKOHOTBLOG reports that no fewer than 26 people, including two herbalists, have been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibadan Zonal Command in Oyo, for alleged cybercrime.
The arrest of the suspects was disclosed via a statement signed by the EFCC Spokesperson, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, on Friday.
Uwujaren stated that the two self-acclaimed herbalists were arrested on Friday at the Soka area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, over their alleged involvement in offences bordering on internet fraud.

The EFCC Spokesman added that the suspects were arrested alongside 24 others, four of whom claimed to be students of Lead City University.
He, however, disclosed that no fewer than 22 of the suspects have been indicted by their ongoing investigation, adding that the suspects were arrested following verified intelligence on their alleged involvement in cyber fraud.
The anti-graft agency’s spokesman, therefore, listed items recovered from the suspected internet fraudsters as cars, mobile phones, television sets, PlayStation 5, laptops, among others.
