EFCC Parades 34 Yahoo Boys Arrested In Oshogbo That Led To Protest In The City [PHOTOS]

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has paraded 34 suspected internet fraudsters (Yahoo Boys) arrested by the operatives in Oshogbo, Osun State in the early hours of Tuesday.

In a statement released by the Commission on Twitter, a former soldier and 33 others were arrested for suspected internet fraud by the Ibadan Zonal office on Tuesday.

The Protesters lamented the continuous harassment of young Nigerians by the EFCC. According to them, without any evidence, every young man in a flashy car is labeled a Yahoo Boy.

They also said that the EFCC is operating like armed robbers by breaking into people’s apartments at midnight. The protesters halted economic activity in Oshogbo, EKO HOT BLOG   gathered.

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission was set up to prosecute corrupt politicians who mismanage public funds. However, the Anti-graft agency is now after suspected internet fraudsters popularly called ‘Yahoo Boys’.
