Ekohotblog reports that the Epe Grammar School Old Students Association (EGOSA) has honored Hon. Wale Raji, Member of the House of Representatives for Epe Federal Constituency, with a Merit Award during a reunion dinner party held to commemorate the school’s 70th anniversary.
The event brought together alumni, dignitaries, and community leaders, including Sen. Obanikoro, Alhaji Seriki Bami, and other prominent figures.
Hon. Raji was praised for his exceptional contributions to his alma mater and the Epe community.
During the ceremony, EGOSA members acknowledged Hon. Raji’s efforts in transforming Epe Grammar School through several projects, including the construction of a stadium, renovation of the dining hall, new hostels, staff quarters, a principal’s lodge, a corps members’ lodge, and other projects.
Expressing his gratitude, Hon. Wale Raji said, “Epe Grammar School played a vital role in shaping my life, and it’s an honor to give back.
I thank EGOSA for this recognition, which inspires me to do more for the school and our community.”
Hon. Raji also highlighted other development projects he has completed in the Epe constituency, such as the construction and renovation of schools, electrification projects, provision of water systems in various communities, installation of solar-powered streetlights, and vocational training programs for youths and women.
He further announced upcoming initiatives, including the construction of classroom blocks for Temu Senior Secondary School, Odo-Obara, Army Children High School, and Pobona High School, along with the provision of furniture for these facilities.
“I am committed to ensuring that every child in Epe has access to quality education and a better learning environment.
“These projects are part of my vision to uplift education and development in our constituency,” he added.
The President of EGOSA, Alhaja Shola Alade-Raji, praised Hon. Raji for his dedication to progress, describing him as a role model for leadership and community service.
“Hon. Wale Raji has made a significant impact not only on our school but also on the entire Epe community. His contributions are truly inspiring,” she said.
