Eguavoen Switches To 4-3-3 For Super Eagles AFCON Clash Against Libya

Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has opted for a 4-3-3 formation for tonight’s crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya.

Stanley Nwabali from Chippa United is set to start between the posts as expected.

In defense, Ola Aina will take up the right-back role, while Boavista’s Bruno Onyemaechi slots in as left-back. Calvin Bassey will partner captain William Troost-Ekong in central defense, with Semi Ajayi making way on the bench.

The midfield trio consists of Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka, and Alex Iwobi.

Upfront, Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface, still seeking his first Super Eagles goal after eight appearances, will spearhead the attack, flanked by Ademola Lookman and Moses Simon on the wings.
